About Sosta Ristorante

What you see on the plate is only half the story at Sosta Ristorante on Errol Street in North Melbourne. Whether you are enjoying a light lunch or a long leisurely dinner, you’ll delight in uniquely designed interiors and dishes carefully plated on the pass that show attention to detail is everything; settle into the dining room or sip a Spritz alfresco and watch the streetside action. Under the direction of Tuscan Head Chef and co-owner, Alex Tintori, expect dishes made with complex, artful techniques where foraging and fermentation are at the forefront; enjoy zucchini flowers with King prawn mousse, linguine with vongole or grilled pork belly, smoked sheep’s yoghurt, fresh broad beans and basil oil. Perhaps roasted Spring lamb saddle entices, with charred carrot purée and mustard leaf.

It is a Thursday night, and they can only just squeeze two more in!

This popular restaurant in the Errol St eating district attracts diners with fresh ingredients, romantic atmosphere, discreet service and delicious food.

The pasta dishes we chose for a quick supper were outstanding (blue swimmer crab linguine & duck) and a similar price to most establishments. However the quality was far above the average Italian restaurant.
Many Italian eaterys serve up indifferent pasta...not Sosta.
Will go back soon to enjoy some of the mains!
