About The Blue Poppy
For a morning pick-me-up in leafy Morningside, make sure you stop by The Blue Poppy on Asquith Street. Plush retro-style armchairs and ambient mood lighting effortlessly combine to create a cosy and inviting environment inside this Brisbane suburban gem, complemented by alfresco seating for those who wish to soak up the Queensland sun. Sit down with a freshly brewed Di Bella coffee and one of The Blue Poppy’s popular breakfast bites such as smashed avo with Danish feta, pistachio dukkah, chilli jam and lemon on sourdough; or perhaps zucchini and corn fritters, herbed labneh, spicy pepitas, avocado, poached egg and rocket for a light lunch. Those wanting food on the go, look out for regular specials as well as signature staples like The Blue Poppy egg and bacon roll with housemade relish.

We love Blue Poppy for breakfast. Great outdoor seating so our dog can join us. The food is exceptional. Service is outstanding.
Amazing little tucked away gem. Great service, amazing fresh food and of course the coffee is yum yum yum!
This is more than a coffee shop - it is a hub for the Morningside community. One feels like family here; the owner and staff remember your name and what your likes are. The coffee is great and the light food choices equally tasty. Prices are very reasonable. The free wifi encourages you to stay - not that you really needed an excuse. Come experience for yourself.
A fantastic gem found in the backstreets of morningside
A hidden gem is the best way to describe this place. Not a big selection on food but some of the best coffee in Brisbane. I have been coming here for the last 5 years and will continue to start my day here.
Hands down best coffee! My favs are the raspberry and white choc muffins and the weekend breaky wraps. The coffee is fast, good and the staff are awesome.
