Not too bad, but not the best
The wife and I were looking forward to going here for the degustation menu, the food was amazing. We were soooo full we couldn't eat it all (mainly the last cheese dish)
But for the money, we felt disappointed. As only the ribs was the standout dish.
Service was really bad, as I had to call the staff over to get a drink each time.
I was expecting a lot, but left disappointed. We won't be going back anytime soon.
It was worth trying, but there are places with better food for the same or less money and better wait staff.
There were only 5 other tables in use, when I asked for the 2nd drink there was only 2 other tables at that time.
Dined at The Fireplace last night - food was just amazing, so so tasty and full of flavour! My partner and I had the Porterhouse steak, lamb rack, and then the encased blueberry and rhubarb for desert. Can I just say - WOW. Every bit of food on the plate was delicious. truly decadent! The service was good but a little sparse throughout the night - didn't have water brought to the table until we were asked for our order, which was about 15 minutes after we were seated and originally offered drinks. But apart from that, was a wonderful dining experience, and I highly recommend for anyone wanting an intimate, relaxing and amazing dinner.
Our 'go to' restaurant for all special occasions. The Fireplace never disappoints, and always surpasses expectations. sensational food that keeps us coming back time after time.

I had a fantastic night at Fireplace Restaurant. Food was simply amazing. I couldn't fault it one bit. I had the Beetroot Entree, Lamb Loin Main and of course Creme Brulee Dessert. Chef Para came over to the table to speak about the dishes prior to us ordering. You can tell how passionate he is about food. Service was also top notch. I look forward to seeing what the restaurant looks like after its mini refurbishment. I will definitely be back!
