Outstanding food, service and surroundings
A peaceful and beautiful rainforest setting for an incredibly flavourful dinner. Michelle provided top tier, personalised service. Our 3-course meal was delicious but we left feeling a bit too full. Favourite dishes were the yellow curry and winter Thai salad. My shellfish allergy was handled skilfully.
fabulous food and fabulous service...but...
Thank you to all those who served us...the hospitality was fabulous. As was the food. My only concern was that whilst my husband is a big eater and was very happy with the three course setting, I was content with an entree and a taste of his main course. I was told that this was possible. What I wasn't told is that my entree...a delightful, beautiful but tiny entree would cost me $35. Maybe I could have been told this upfront as it would have effected my decision making. And maybe there needs to be some consideration for the lighter eaters?
Just Exceptional
We have visited The Tamarind for dinner in winter, the fireplace in the venue set up great cozy and intimate ambience, food was exceptional, and service was beyond exceptional.
We returned yesterday for lunch, then had a little stroll on the property to appreciate the gardens. We were seated next to a window, the views to the garden set us up for a great mood. Ordered the three course again, tried different dishes on the menu, The Tamarind never disappoint, table service was warm and friendly. There was a little misunderstanding on the order but all sorted out quickly and exceeded our expectations.
We have visited hatted restaurants all around Australia, have to say The Tamarind has got our heart, we will definitely be dining here again. ??
We both had the degustation menu, and it was excellent. Any restaurant in Europe would be awarded a Michelin star with this standard of food and service
