About The Village Pickle
At The Village Pickle on Blackall Terrace in Nambour, it's all about fermented, pickled and smoked fare with flair. Owners Jaimi and Brendan have transformed a run-down former café and butcher shop into a linger-worthy local, with a bright-blue façade, hand-crafted timber tables, a picket fence and front garden setting the scene for catching up over a coffee. From brisket pastrami house-smoked every day, wrap your hands around a New York-style Reuben sandwich; or the Village Cheese, with housemade green tomato pickles and toasted rye sourdough. Pimp your smoked and charred chook bowl with halloumi, alongside pickled slaw and secret tangy hot sauce, charred bread and butter; washed down with a cocktail of the day, like ruby grapefruit, lemon, orange, pineapple, smoked rosemary and gin.
