A few words from The Woodhouse Bar and Grill
Smell the delicious smokiness of Bendigo's only dedicated steakhouse, where we use local redgum on the grill and there's nothing quite like the flavour of meat cooked over redgum. The natural smoky flavours and aromas created by this unique timber are something truly special.
In the finest tradition of steakhouses across the globe, we use locally sourced meat and the very best in fresh, regional produce.
The Woodhouse steak selection provides a unique range of flavours and intense tenderness. Choose from our most delicate and lean eye fillet, the rich, fat-studded Wagyu scotch fillet, a hearty dry aged rib eye or a more textured and bold flavoured Wagyu porterhouse, t-bone or rump. Awarded best steakhouse in Victoria and Tasmania (and 3rd in Australia).
The five-course Woodhouse Experience is a popular choice of our guests, enabling us to highlight the quality produce in our region, with carefully selected beverages to match.
The Woodhouse also offers a diverse a la carte menu to satisfy all tastes, with each dish designed to utilise the region's best and freshest local produce. The extensive menu offering is balanced with a range of seafood, pasta, vegetarian and additional wood-fired dishes, a robust range of side orders, and desserts so good, that they have developed a local cult following.

Nothing special
I took my family to The Woodhouse last early last year. The meal was fine, certainly not worthy of complaint but from a multiple Chef Hat winning restaurant I expected more.
I ended up getting an ok steak that I could have gotten at a good Cafe and some "matching" wines that didn't really do anything to raise the dish(es) that I ate above that "not bad" rating.
Absolutely delicious meal and excellent service
An excellent experience on every level.
Love the chicken pizza here lunch deal ATM June 2012 is great pizza and beer $20 so good. Great menu choice check it out. Us locals love it :)

A great eating experience. The deserts need a little polishing up but other wise it is very good food.
