Dine on classic cuisine in a renovated old corner store in the heritage-listed town of Millthorpe at Tonic on Victoria Street. This charming dining destination, just 15 minutes drive from Orange, presents a stylish ambience of white-clothed tables, polished wood floors and moody lighting to set the scene for an inspired culinary experience sure to be remembered. Expect to sample dishes from a creative Chef’s Choice five-course set menu, such as Vichyssoise with Millthorpe truffle to start, followed by more substantial plates of duck breast, pumpkin and black garlic, paired with a glass of Slow Pinot Noir. Char-grilled sirloin, Dauphinoise potatoes and mushrooms are sure to entice, finishing indulgently with a dessert such as jaffa tart, accompanied by a glass of Tamburlaine Noble Riesling.

My favourite restaurant. Food and service are always exceptional.
We arrived and saw Matt Moran was here - so we had high expectations. The food was generally pleasant but honestly, meals lacked any sense of kick or wow. Sweetbreads were actually tough and the food bordered on being cool or barely warm at best! Entrees served almost immediately after the order was taken, before the wine was even served, however it then took around 1 1/2 hrs for the main by which time our wine was spent. Our male waiter wandering back and forth past our table, seeming to avoid eye contact. Other tables were openly complaining about orders not being taken and then food not being delivered. On only one occasion during the evening did someone refill our glasses. At the end, we decided to forego dessert because the mood in the room had become unpleasant and the lack of attention and service from our waiter was absolutely annoying. Have sent email feedback to the restaurant which was not even acknowledged.
Superb meal in a fantastic restaurant in a quaint little village. Looking forward to giong back some time.
