Exceptional!
My friends and I dined here for the Valentine’s Day Degustation and we were all taken on an incredible journey with each dish. From the moment they were placed in front of us you could see the passion and care taken by the Head Chef Tyrone Hunt to present us with unique and memorable courses. The first course was an aerated pea and mint soup and it took us all by surprise, a completely unexpected flavour explosion with each spoonful! Each dish thereafter was on par with the incredible techniques and fresh combinations paired with the elegant presentations, that are second to none. This chef deserves a hat!

Simply superb!!
Travelled from Melbourne for the New Year dinner party and loved every single dish!
Chef Tyrone Hunt is an artist, turning the best produce into exquisite, imaginative dishes with perfect balance, textures and colours.
Kylie and the front of house team are all extremely professional. Best service we’ve had in a long time.
Whitney’s certainly deserve a Hat or possibly 2, in 2022!

A perfect way to end the day
We travelled to Orange for the first time and thankfully my wife booked us into the Remington and Whitneys restaurant and bar.
The food was amazing I had the sous vide lamb rump and my wife the homemade potato gnoochi on the first night. The second night I had the pan roasted duck breast my wife couldn't go passed the gnoochi. The celeriac and rosemary hash, the house made labneh, the chargrilled eggplant actually everything on the plate surpassed all expectations.
The desserts followed suit after a two night stay we were able to sample all the desserts and just like the mains they were exceptional. The flavour combinations had our taste buds screaming for more.
The breakfast menu had all you needed and like everything else we had eating it was of the highest quality.
We were lucky enough to meet Chef Tyrone and thank him for a wonderful dinning experience that will be hard to beat.
In my opinion its the only place to eat in Orange.
Besides the food the service staff were excellent and so polite and helpful.
Orange maybe a food hub of NSW but Whitneys is the food hub or Orange.

A meal at Whitney's is a must
We've enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at Whitney's and every meal has been absolutely amazing. From a breakfast classic of country bacon and eggs on toast, to warm porridge with cinnamon sugar and apple compote, it's a brilliantly tasty start to your day.

For dinner, we started with sourdough bread with miso caramel butter and pistachio dukkah. That just melts in your mouth. Then we shared the homemade potato gnocchi with roasted pumpkin, ricotta & lemon cream, and crispy sage; and the sous vide lamb rump with celeriac and rosemary hash, house-made labneh, pickled carrots, char-grilled baby eggplant and dukkah. Oh my goodness! Every mouthful was to die for. Of course, enjoyed with a beautiful bottle of wine from a local winery.

We finished dinner with the homemade chocolate & walnut brownie with dulce de leche and vanilla ice-cream. You guessed it ... Amazing.

The food at Whitney's is seriously 5-star quality. Chef Tyrone even popped out to introduce himself and make sure we were enjoying our meal. If you're anywhere near Orange, you must have a meal here.

Flawless
The moment you walk through the door of Whitney’s you are pleasantly surprised and invited into a charming and delightful restaurant. Immediately greeted by great staff members, which sets a wonderful tone. The menu that is offered entices you to choose between exciting meals that you simply cannot choose which one you should try. After every meal all you can do is compliment the tastes and textures of some clever thought out dishes. Given this was my first visit I’m am excited to return. It’s either yes, no or wow. This was a Wow! Thanks Tyrone

worthy of a Michelin star
The new menu at Whitney's is the best ever. Every dish is interesting, delicious and presented beautifully. The visual spectacle does enrich the dining experience, and with fresh ingredients, many locally sourced the meal is also nutritious and ethical. We were reminded of fine dining experiences at Michelin starred restaurants in Europe

An excellent degustation meal!
Degustation menu really worth a call out. Excellent technical cooking that does not appear or taste contrived Builds from course to course adding flavour and texture on the way An excellent meal, well prepared and excellently constructed. Great service too.

Consistently Fantastic
Last night was our third visit for dinner, having visited during the soft opening period and for the Valentine’s Day function. Chef Tyrone’s menus are consistently beautiful, delicious and surprising. Yesterday’s sourdough bread starter, scallops entree and pork belly main made for a wonderful night out at our favourite local fine dining restaurant.

Wonderful dining experience
Orange has some great restaurants and this one deserves to be up there with the best! We have visited a couple of times - including before the official opening and for their special Valentine’s Day dinner - and it has been amazing every time. Chef Tyrone is super proud of his menu, and so he should be - every dish we have eaten has been delicious! We will definitely be back.

What an experience
From start to finish this would have to go down as one of my most memorable culinary experiences.
Where do i start - from first glance of the menu i knew we were in for a treat, seasonal local produce, fresh ingredients, a well though out menu and not to mention some nice local wines. Just when i thought the night couldn't get any better Chef Tyrone stopped by the table for a chat, quite the character and you could tell had a real passion for his craft.
10 out 10 guys, can't wait to go back

Really impressed with the menu!
Stayed here for a couple of nights on business and must say I will be returning for leisure. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and the chef came out to ask my colleague about his food allergies. He was more than impressed with choice of menu available to him. The venue is very relaxing and the surrounding grounds stunning! Well worth a visit, but I recommend staying a couple of nights at least and making use of the first class restaurant and bar to relax in the evenings!

sambo98146

The food was amazing, fine dining at good prices and the most tasteful and well presented dining we've ever had.

What a fabulous fine dining addition to the Orange region
I attended with 3 of my friends and what a great night we had! After taking a look at the menu, my friends and I decided if we are here; we may as well try out 3 courses that they offer because the menu options were all too good to pass and it gave me the opportunity to taste all of my friends dishes. The portion sizes were generous and the food was absolutely amazing. The food arrived at a good pace; the chef allowed enough time to enjoy the meal and finish it with out rushing but didn't leave it too long between meals that you're waiting around wondering if they had missed your next dish. The staff were very welcoming and so friendly and it was just an all round great atmosphere and experience. It was an amazing fine dining experience and its a great addition to the Orange region. I cant wait to return again soon. Well done Chef and Staff, you have opened an amazing restaurant that can be enjoyed by friends, families, and individualsxx

Really Terrific
We found ourselves in Orange on New Years Eve by accident. Looking for some place that would have a table last minute we chanced upon Whitney’s Restaurant. Lucky for us, Whitney’s was still in its “soft opening” stage with its official opening not happening until 4th January.

What fabulous luck for us. While the restaurant is very new, Tyrone Hunt’s menu is mature, thoughtful and delightfully surprising.

The smoked-hay spatchcock is subtle, but it pairs beautifully with the polenta cake and roasted vegetables. My partner loved the prawn and potato cake that teamed with her crispy skin salmon.

These main courses were so good that we were tempted to revisit the entrees.

The desert choices were equally good, the deconstructed Snickers bar an absolute delight.

Next time I’ll have to return with more of an appetite and taste an entree or two. Mind you, next time I’m sure it’ll be harder to get a table. I’m sure it’ll be full as soon as people get to experience it for themselves.
