Family-run business Garbin Estate Wines on Toodyay Road welcomes guests to the Swan Valley through rustic, wooden cellar doors made from 600-year-old Jarrah, where they can taste a range of vintages. The vineyard was passed down to Peter Garbin from his father, who started the business in 1956 after migrating from Europe, and is now a husband and wife team with Katrina lending a hand, alongside sons Joel and Adam. With some of the Shiraz vines planted more than 60 years ago, there is a long history in growing grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chenin Blanc. The family offers personalised tastings seven days a week sampling an excellent selection of wines catering to all palates, including specialty methode traditionelle sparkling, accompanied by a pre-ordered cheese board.
