Tony the publican greets everyone, including we visitors, warmly. The locals too, included us in their conversation and made us feel very welcome. Our ensuite room was a nice luxury and great value at $85 a night, which includes continental breakfast. Lock up garage for the bikes was a comforting bonus. Dinner was fantastic. For starters we shared a plate of vegetable dumplings in a nice light tempura batter, accompanied by delicious quesadillas and two dipping sauces. Mains for us was tandoori marinated pork chops and rump cooked to perfection, both served with mash & veg. Dessert was a wonderful strawberry & rhubarb cheesecake and sticky date pudding. There were some great looking curries on the menu that we'll come back and try next time. It was a truly a great pub experience. Everything was clean, nicely laid out and most of all friendly and welcoming. We'll be back soon. Thanks Tony!

Having riden my motor cycle all day through tge hills near by, I was tired and needed so I e food. I come across the Woodenbong pub. As I walked in Tony created me quickly and had everything i needed. The special on the menu was lamp chops. And was 5star food. I was offered somewhere to park my bike safely. I was given a room near by the bike so I would feel comfortable. I found my whole experience a very plessant one. Even a large Tv in the comon room so I could stay up late and watch tge Motogp. If you are ever riding through these great riad and need food or accommodation, don't go oast Woodenbong pub.
