The secret is out leading up to the destination’s pinnacle annual food festival, Winterfeast 2017, which will showcase the best produce and locally made goods Bundaberg has to offer. The events for the 10 day festival kick off with cocktails at the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, which resides on Hills Street. Winterfeast offers a chance to reacquaint yourself with the golden liquid as you’ve never seen it before. Grab the family and head to the popular Bundy Flavours and Winterfeast Farmers Market, offering the chance to meet the people who fill your plates, as farmers from around the patchwork landscape of Bundaberg and North Burnett congregate to attend the once-a-year market to fill bellies and imaginations on Saturday, July 8.

Pull on your boots and join Suzie from Bundy Food Tours as she joins the farmers themselves for the Artisan Food Tour, held on Bastille Day (July 14). Throughout the morning you will meet some of the food artisans of Bundaberg while tasting produce straight from the source and hearing their stories, whilst Mitch and the team at Indulge Cafe will be preparing a sumptuous picnic lunch with the best of Winter produce to enjoy while relaxing in the passionfruit vines at Tinaberries’ strawberry and passionfruit farm.
