Be One of the First to Cook in ALBA’s Chef’s Kitchen with Peter Kuruvita.

The finishing touches have been made to ALBA by Kuruvita’s Chef’s Kitchen and cooking classes will start next week.

Celebrity Chef Peter Kuruvita opened his new venue on Alba Close in Noosa Heads in December, creating a new hub of food and beverage offerings, including a café, providore, pizzeria and relaxed all-day bar, which evolves into a stylish restaurant and cocktail bar as the day progresses.

The Chef’s Kitchen is a creative space for cooking classes, private Chefs’ tables and a kitchen studio – the first event will be on Wednesday, February 16 with a Sri Lankan masterclass hosted by Peter. Those participating will cook a goat curry, with snake beans, mirs malu, rice and condiments, washed down by a glass of wine.

All equipment, utensils and ingredients are provided, along with an ALBA apron, recipe and information booklets – plus you get to share the meal you have cooked at the end of the class.

ALBA Providore continues to expand and will soon add weekly market boxes with the convenience of online ordering and easy pick-up; ‘Meet the Producer’ tastings are also planned for locals and visitors to sample produce, cheese and wine from around the region and country.

While those looking for a midweek night out can head to ALBA on BYO Wednesday nights to enjoy a special bottle of wine from home, paired with delicious dishes from the à la carte menu, such as Peter’s signature Sri Lankan snapper curry, with aloo chop, tamarind, rice and condiments.
