Cocktail of the Week from Concrete Boots Bar Mixologist Charlie Pass.

Technically, it’s not drinking alone if the bartender is there!

You know the drill…it’s Friday afternoon and time to relax after a long and stressful work week.

What better way to chill out than with a cocktail at your favourite bar or restaurant. Alternatively, you could take the party home and concoct the perfect drink to usher in the weekend.

Say cheers to our Cocktail of the Week series, where each Friday we will highlight a cheeky creation to tantalise tastebuds and set the tone for good times.

Local legends have their favourite stool and newcomers are treated to craft beer on tap at friendly neighbourhood hot spot Concrete Boots Bar on Burnley Street in Richmond. With a name inspired by Melbourne’s turn-of-the-century gangster past, Concrete Boots serves up what’s quality and what’s local in fun and funky surrounds on the former site of Dizzy’s Jazz Club.

Mixologist Charlie Pass brings us this cocktail recipe for Pavlova Supernova - a New World meets Old World flavour bomb!

"It’s a great way to showcase Old Young’s amazing Pavlova Vodka from WA in a more discerning drink. There’s a balanced combination of sweet from the vodka, sour from the lemon juice and the DOM Benedictine adds a nice herbal complexity - then the Rhubarb Bitters adds another dimension.”

If you are in Richmond, stop into the bar and try it for yourself…or make it at home this weekend and enjoy!
