Cocktail of the Week from Goodradigbee Distillers.

Technically, it’s not drinking alone if the bartender is there!

You know the drill…it’s Friday afternoon and time to relax after a long and stressful work week.

What better way to chill out than with a cocktail at your favourite bar or restaurant. Alternatively, you could take the party home and concoct the perfect drink to usher in the weekend.

Welcome to our Cocktail of the Week series, where each Friday we will highlight a cheeky creation to tantalise tastebuds and set the tone for good times.

Born of drought, fire, flood and ice over millennia, Australia’s native hardwoods give Goodradigbee Distillers’ single malt spirit its unique taste. Located on King Avenue in Balgowlah, this distillery ages its spirits in hardwood cubes for single malts and gins like you have never tasted before; the flaming desire to create these spirits began while burning hardwood on a campfire beside the Goodradigbee River in the Snowy Mountains.

Try the Freshwater Blush celebration gin…it’s enough to make you, well…blush! Notes of bittersweet native fruit and zesty botanicals such as Davidson plum, desert lime and strawberry gum, make this gin like a party on your tongue.

Create your own party at home with this recipe for a Ruby Blossom cocktail, originally developed by then Garfish mixologist Dani Morales for a Goodradigbee function, where the distiller’s spirits were used in four tasting plates and a dessert.

Due to aging in Australian hardwood maturation cubes, Goodradigbee’s wood-infused gins are sweet, complex, delicious and revolutionary. With a sophisticated bar to open in Brookvale soon and the distillery space expanding to keep up with demand, gin and whisky drinkers are in for a treat.
