"It is a crisp, perfectly well-rounded cocktail with just the right amount of bitter, tart and zesty sweetness. The Valencia oranges and lemon myrtle of Teddy & the Fox gin complemented by a tangy kick of lime and the blend of bittersweet notes of Aperol creates the perfect Summer sipper,” he explains.
"Inspired by the ‘Brat Summer’ trend on TikTok, we wanted to bring a gin-influenced ‘Margarita Summer’ to our customers. This perfectly coincided with Geoff the Chef’s TikTok, which was mostly full of people sipping Aperol Spritzers while enjoying the Mediterranean breeze. He missed out on going to Europe this year.”
Nav says this gave staff the idea of combining Aperol with their very own Summery and citrusy gin Teddy & the Fox. Next thing you know, they have ourselves a new best-selling cocktail in the Capri Sunset.
The drink’s name was inspired by the Aperol in it, which is everyone’s go-to in Capri. The bright orange colour perfectly depicts a sunset while the cocktail cools you down just like the Mediterranean breeze does.
