Sydney’s beloved pasta shop and bar, Fabbrica, is making it easier for Aussies to get their pasta fix at home by launching a range of ready-made meals, available exclusively at all Woolworths Metro stores.
Available from this week, Fabbrica will launch three exclusive Al Forno ready-made pasta dishes for $11. Pasta lovers will also be able to purchase a range of Fabbrica’s fresh pasta and pasta sauces.
Customers can look forward to trying gigli Bolognese - slow-cooked, free-range beef and pork Bolognese, layered over housemade curls of gigli pasta; lumache eggplant and tomato - a Sicilian classic with fried eggplant, rich tomato sauce and melted, oozy mozzarella; and trottole cacio e pepe - a Fabbrica fan-favourite with housemade trottole in a silky, peppery, cheesy Pecorino sauce, topped with pangrattato.
Woolworths Metro customers will also be able to stock up on Fabbrica’s individual fresh ‘Pasta Packs’, with a choice of conchiglie, spaghetti and mafaldine. Likewise, a choice of expertly made sauces like Bolognese (beef and pork ragu), Amatriciana (tomatoes and pancetta) and Pomodoro (tomato).
As part of Woolworths Metro’s new ‘Meal Deal’ offers, customers can choose to mix and match one of Fabbrica’s pasta packs and one of its pasta sauce options, for just $12.50.
Fabbrica’s story started in 2020 when founders Matthew Swieboda, Nathanial Hatwell, Scott McComas-Williams and Cam Birt decided to sling restaurant-quality pasta to Sydney homes, while dining out was off the menu. Fast forward to today and Fabbrica has expanded with buzzing pasta bars across Sydney’s CBD, Darlinghurst, Newtown and soon, Chatswood.
