Find classic cocktails unique to the Brisbane hospitality scene at Lang’s Lounge on Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley. This boutique bar promises an unforgettable experience in moody surrounds with comfy chairs and couches for chilling out, while posters of classic movies adorn the walls. Perhaps pair a charcuterie plate of pickles, cured meat, cheddar, sumac labneh and hazelnuts with a glass of Shiraz, or confit garlic and chilli-infused hummus, crumbled feta and lavash. Lang’s Lounge is also the perfect place for a special occasion or celebration.
Why should you drop in for a drink and bite to eat at Lang’s Lounge? Here are three good reasons:
What’s your most popular drink/dish:
Our must-try drinks change monthly. We have four movie posters on display that change each month and these posters give us our theme for the drinks we make for our rotating featured cocktail list. For example, we developed an Anchorman drink based on his line in the film "three fingers of Glenlivet with a little bit of pepper and some cheese.”
From this inspiration we developed an old-fashioned style cocktail with three cheese-infused Glenlivet, a four-pepper tincture (for the four members of the news team) and a lactic acid simple syrup, garnished with freshly cracked pepper.
Our best seller for the month of April was the Shenanigans inspired by Supertroopers and like the game in the film, this drink is fun with Red Skittle-infused vodka, lychee liquor, lychee syrup, lime juice and dry vermouth, a well-balanced drink with both sweet and savoury tones.
What is your point of difference?
One of our points of difference is that our cinema-inspired cocktails change regularly while we have a large classics list to please everyone. We also champion local distillers and brewers and highlight in our menu any business that supplies us within a 200 km radius.
What is a fun fact that not many people know about the restaurant?
Any event booking has a complimentary drink created within the theme of the event, a recipe card is also generated for the organiser/guest of honour so that they can use this again and again in their own home.
