What’s your most popular dish/drink:

Our must-try dish would be our entrée of beef tenderloin tartare with potato shards and for the main, think 18-hour confit lamb, served with a grain medley, beet purée, minted yoghurt, potato Royale and Burgundy jus.

Our must-try drink would be our Strawberry Rosé cocktail with Mrs Baker’s gin or Dolcetto by Dilworth & Allain.

What’s your point of difference:

We believe what sets us apart is our collaboration of the restaurant interior and our curated menu, both are a reflection of one another. The interior is of European influence with our walls covered in framed artwork with an emphasis on the classic restaurant experience - white tablecloths, wine glasses as water glasses, traditional plates and glasses. Waitstaff also wear traditional long waist aprons.

The menu continues with this theme of European influence with a unique Chef Anjal touch. The food is reminiscent of fine dining but of a portion size to fill the stomach to just the right amount. Taste is of utmost importance along with a combination of modern equipment and skills as well as timeless traditional skills and classic methods. Our restaurant is not a place of fads, but timeless tastes, and a destination dining experience to match.

What is a fun fact that not many people know about the venue?

What many people may not know about our restaurant is that it is not a business, it is not just a restaurant, but is a part of our family. My partner and I have created three beautiful children together and our collaboration of creation continues in our restaurant. We wanted a lifestyle, the country was the perfect place for our young family. In a small country town, with a population of 1500, two hours out of Melbourne we found a place to make a home and continue creating through a destination dining experience.

We have begun our own herb and small vegetable garden in the hope for future unique produce to be included in our menu. Food, flavours, cooking, it is our passion. Not a job. Not a way to make money. It is a part of our being, who we are, and thus, so too is our restaurant.
