Look What’s New Near You - Pala!

Are you always on the lookout for a new café or restaurant to indulge yourself, family and friends?

No sweat…we have you covered! Every week AGFG will aim to let you know what new venues have opened in your area and why you should give them a try.

You can help too – just click here to email our PR team and let us know of a new eatery in your suburb so we can inform everyone and help these establishments thrive and survive.

Find a fusion of flavours both familiar and foreign on the menu at Pala on Main Street in Osborne Park. This new Perth restaurant dishes up Asian fare with a Filipino twist in family-oriented surrounds just minutes from the beach; relax, refuel and recharge in a light, bright and breezy vibe ideal for lingering over a leisurely brunch or lunch.

Why should you drop in for a meal at Pala? Here are three good reasons:

Look What’s New Near You - Pala!

What’s your most popular dish:

Pork belly liempo bowl of goodness - Filipino BBQ marinated pork belly, cooked to a perfect tenderness and served with a garlic java rice salad, dressed with calamansi (a native citrus fruit) dressing.

Accompanied with tamari pepitas, golden hummus and housemade red atchara (pickles), this dish is our take on the classic Inasal with rice and chilli soy sauce back home in the Philippines.

The other must-try here at Pala is the Chori burger, with very tasty yet familiar flavours in one bite.

The smashed patty is made of half Wagyu beef and half chicken longganisa (sweet chorizo) with a swirl of the Good sauce (our homemade banana ketchup and mayo), crisp lettuce and pickles on a potato bun. This burger is served with white sweet potato.

What's your point of difference:

We are the first to curate and open a café in Perth, perhaps Australia, that offers solid Filipino modern fusion food. This is where the East meets West in every aspect of its foundation.

What is a fun fact that not many people know about the restaurant?

Pala is a root word of Pinagpala in Tagalog, which means ‘Blessed’ and in a deeper aspect means ‘Grace’.

It is this grace and a same faith that brought us to start this one-of-a-kind café, which Perth has never seen.

One of the goals is supporting local Filipino entrepreneurs Sugar Artist (@sugarartistperth), Cakes by Ainie (@cakesbyainie), My Portion Bakery (@@myportion_bakery) and Cebu Charcoal Chicken
