Look What’s New – Salters at Dirty Janes Bowral!

Are you always on the lookout for a new café, bar or restaurant to indulge yourself, family and friends?

No sweat…we have you covered! Every week AGFG will aim to let you know what new venues have opened in your area and why you should give them a try.

You can help too – just click here to email our PR team and let us know of a new eatery in your suburb so we can inform everyone and help these establishments thrive and survive during tough times.

Nestled in the front of vintage emporium Dirty Janes on Banyette Street in Bowral, Salters unmissable entrance is the gateway to delicious coffee and café fare with flair. A red awning and café table settings welcome guests to this retro-style diner, while indoors, recycled timber, whitewashed brick and an eclectic mix of accents set the scene for catching up with family and friends over a brew and bite to eat.

Why should you drop in for a meal at Salters at Dirty Janes Bowral? Here are three good reasons:

What’s your most popular dish:

The must-try meal at Bowral in Winter is absolutely the daily soup - changing to different flavours and styles at least 2-3 times a week. You’ll get soup of any kind from traditional to modern flavours and spices.

Coming into the warmer weather, the burgers are always a huge hit, as is a beer from Eden Brewery to go with your choice!

What is your point of difference?

Our point of difference is the giant antiques market that we are attached too. The interior of the café, designed by Lou Hakewill of Theodore Collective, matches the style of the Dirty Janes Antiques market.

A world of all different styles ranging from Japanese to retro, rustic, European, records and so much more! All of which you’ll find inside of Salters. The food, music, service and atmosphere all match the wonder that is the iconic Dirty Janes brand.

What is a fun fact that not many people know about the restaurant?

The secret favourite dish of husband duo owners Brendan and Jarrod - the salmon and caper bagel.

The dish is a meal they would make for each other for years after a long day of hard work – a romantic comfort meal for the two of them.

Also, every Friday from 4pm-6pm we host TGI Fridays with live music from local artists including Kye Hall, Shardae and Ollie McGill from The Cat Empire.
