Discover the perfect fusion of Japanese and French cuisines at Unique Bite on Walker Street in Rhodes. This Sydney yakitori restaurant offers an exquisite dining experience, where traditional flavours meet innovative dishes in earthy surrounds of subway tiles, recycled timber flooring and twinkling fairy lights overhead, making it the ideal destination for any occasion.
Why should you drop in for a meal at Unique Bite? Here are three good reasons:
What’s your most popular dish/drink:
The must-try dish is our yakitori (chicken thigh, chicken wing; beef eye fillet), while crispy pork knuckle is our must-try main, recommended for three or more people.
Our popular main rice dish is our different flavoured donburi (beef, unagi, pork katsu), high quality with a relatively low price, perfect to fill your stomach when you are hungry.
What is your point of difference?
All our Chefs are trained in French cuisine and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu. We look like a Japanese yakitori restaurant but all our dishes are influenced by French cuisine such as the soul of the dish - sauce. All our sauces are created and made by our Chefs, we are more like a fusion cuisine instead of a traditional Japanese style.
We have a flexible and relaxed culture, trying to let our guests enjoy their moment not only with our food but also with our service team. We want our customers to spend their time here and take it slow, enjoying our yakitori skewers in their best form.
What is a fun fact that not many people know about the restaurant?
We are a Japanese cuisine restaurant run by Chinese, who are trained in the French cuisine system. The motivation is our passion for food and we enjoy creating something new.
Our hidden tradition at Unique Bite is that the last table of the day will get free dishes (old or new creations or alcohol).
We are a small restaurant with great food but hidden due to location, we won't disappoint our guests if they decide to step into our venue.
