Mountain Culture Beer Co, Australia’s fastest-growing brewery and two-time consecutive winner of GABS Hottest 100, continues to go from strength to strength, has just opened its third venue.
Located at 158 Regent Street in Redfern, this move marks Mountain Culture’s first foray into the inner-city Sydney market, complementing its Katoomba and Emu Plains venues.
"This venue represents a pivotal moment for our brand. We’re not just opening a new venue; we are doing it the Mountain Culture way with a focus on creating something new and exciting,” says DJ McCready, co-founder of the brand.
The venue is home to the best craft beer experience in the city. On top of Mountain Culture’s core range, including Status Quo Pale Ale voted best beer in the country for the last two years, there are 16 rotating taps dedicated to beers straight from the brand’s industry-leading innovation program.
It will also see the beginnings of Mountain Culture’s first-ever barrel program where a variety of exclusive beers will be aged in and blended from barrels including ex-bourbon and Australian rum.
To spearhead this growth, Mountain Culture has recruited Ollie Stuart as Group Venue Manager. Ollis has more than two decades experience in Sydney’s hospitality industry, most recently as Head of Beverage at Merivale.
Mountain Culture has also announced that Australian cricket captain and long-time beer fan Pat Cummins has come on board as the brand’s first investor.
Key highlights of Mountain Culture’s Redfern bar include:
•The award-winning core range and rotating limited releases on tap.
•Full range of beers for takeaway, including weekly limited releases.
•On-site production capabilities for experimental and creative brewing programs exclusive to the venue including the new barrel program.
•A Modern Australian lunch and dinner menu where familiar comfort meets big flavours, plus a late-night ‘fancy kebab’ menu.
•Alongside extraordinary beer, fun cocktails, local spirits, wines and non-alcoholic options will be served.
Mountain Culture launched in 2019 in Katoomba and, despite COVID lockdowns creating a rocky business environment in the first 18 months, quickly outgrew the site and opened a second production facility in Emu Plains to meet demand.
It quickly developed a super fan base Australia-wide to launch venues and partnerships across the country so more Australians can discover really good beer.
