After years of watching the industry play catchup, Australian regenerative chocolate brand, Loving Earth is getting back to its chocolate innovation roots with a new range that has been released just in time for Christmas.
Superfood-infused chocolates have arrived alongside the company’s first equity raise, which gives Australians the opportunity to live a childhood fantasy and own a chocolate factory.
On a mission to champion responsible food production, the team at Loving Earth has spent the past 15 years innovating within the industry and becoming a champion for practices that have been adopted by major players around the world.
While trends like plant-based food, sustainable packaging and fair trade have become more prevalent on shelves in recent years, they’re all practices that are part of Loving Earth’s DNA and have long been staples of its model.
"Our innovative products have a point of differentiation for us; we are not followers, we are not pretenders, we are the real deal,” said Scott Fry, founder of Loving Earth. "Since our inception we’ve been aiming to do things differently, an approach that was born out of genuine relationships with regenerative farmers.
"So many of the brands incorporating plant-based confectionery and sustainable messaging are still placing profits over people and are publicly patting themselves on the back for setting a very low bar. While we’re very committed to being a thriving business we’re not striving for profit at all cost. Chocolate makes you smile, so you should feel good about buying it!”
Beginning with a broad range of superfoods alongside its much loved ‘bean-to-bar’ plant-based chocolate, the offering has since grown to grain-free cereals, chocolate spreads, teas and drinking chocolates.
The new range of chocolate bars is made with 69% premium cacao and each of the four flavours are enhanced with plants that offer different health benefits – from antioxidant-rich blueberries to adaptogenic maca root.
•The Beauty Bar – the Beauty Bar combines the collective power of blueberry, macadamia and Peruvian lucuma to provide a satisfying chocolate flavour that’s high in antioxidants.
•The Digestive Bar – harnessing the naturally gut-soothing powers of peppermint, marshmallow root and aniseed, the Digestive Bar is the perfect sweet treat for after dinner.
•The Wellbeing Bar – this bar is packed with Davidson's Plum and Gubinge, two native Australian bush medicines known for their high levels of vitamin C.
•The Recovery Bar – contains adaptogenic maca root (sometimes called Peruvian ginseng), a potent natural ingredient that has been used in Peru for generations to improve endurance and energy.
As with all of Loving Earth’s products, the new plant-based treats are vegan-friendly, gluten-free, certified organic, kosher and made from minimally processed ingredients.
For chocolate fans passionate about sustainable, regenerative food production, Loving Earth’s equity raise campaign on Birchal is open to the public for expressions of interest now.
