The ultimate rainy day activity
When you’re on holidays, shopping is in inevitable activity, so why not go to the extreme and visit some of the biggest and best shopping malls Australia has to offer? Shopping centres in Australia are a popular destination for weekends, having your choice of a plethora of goods and services under one roof. With the seemingly endless supply of clothes, food and electronics, pit stop at the massage chairs and strive on. But beware; when the rain starts to fall, the crowds will come in masses.
Where are Australia's biggest shopping centres?
Melbourne and Sydney play host to most of Australia’s largest shopping centres, with Chadstone Shopping Centre in the Melbourne suburb of Malvern East claiming to be the largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere. Brisbane’s Westfield shopping mall in Chermside is the largest shopping centre in Queensland, with over 406 stores to send you into a shopping frenzy. The Gold Coast is also a shopper’s heaven, home to Pacific Fair, Australia Fair and the most recently built Robina Town Centre.
