Launched in Melbourne in 2012, Yo-Chi has become Australia’s fastest-growing and most popular frozen yoghurt where customers are encouraged to handcraft their own bowls and cones of deliciousness from an extensive and delicious toppings bar. In fact, just last year Yo-Chi was named in the Financial Review Top 50 fastest-growing companies in Australia.

That’s nice and all, but it’s their approach to sustainability and minimising its impact on the environment, coupled with their deliciousness that has us coming back for more, guilt-free.  An Australian-owned family business, Yo-Chi is committed to spreading good Chi, which includes compostable cups and a supply of upcycled and reusable bowls. 
 
In 2022, Yo-Chi announced collaborations with some of the nation’s hottest dessert Chefs, including award-winning Pastry Chef and dessert expert Anna Polyviou. The limited edition topping was a mouth-watering baked vanilla cheesecake with passionfruit and lemon curd. 

Polyviou rose to Chef’s challenge, creating a thick and creamy cheesecake with a thin crunchy base that melted in your mouth. Polyviou took over from previous Chef collaborations with Darren Purchese, who had created a decadent red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and Pierrick Boyer of Reverie Cafe, who created a salted caramel mud cake and not to forget Kirsten Tibballs, Australia's Queen of chocolate.

Born from an idea to bring together self-serve frozen yoghurt, a delicious array of toppings and an abundance of good energy, Yo-Chi venues are now dotted around Australia with new locations springing up near you this Spring and Summer with a major focus on Queensland and new venues shortly in Sydney and W.A. This isn't a surprise to us here at AGFG, since we predicted that soft serves would be a 2023 food trend. 

We're excited to see what innovative collaborations they'll have coming our way in the frozen yoghurt future. 

Come for the signature Froyo flavours of tart, chocolate and vanilla (or the seasonal flavours), stay for the immense amount of toppings but return for their ethos of sustainability. Or, grab a take home pack in store, and throw a fro yo party at home, with all your fave toppings.
