Looking to add a bit of fun to your family Christmas party? We have six Christmas-themed games and activities to keep the whole gang entertained for hours!
12 days of Christmas scavenger hunt:
Collect items which match those in the carol ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ and hide them throughout the house then send people to hunt for as many of the gifts as possible. To make it more challenging for grown-ups, don’t give them a list so they have to remember the items from the song from memory.
Santa belt limbo:
Add a ‘Santa stomach’ (could be a pillow or folded blanket held on with a belt) to everyone for a little extra challenge - then play some Christmas music. All you'll need is a couple of large shirts, some pillows and maybe a belt.
Candy cane grab:
Using a candy cane in your mouth, pick up as many other candy canes as you can in a certain amount of time and you can't use your hands! The winner gets all the candy canes…
Mystery stocking:
Fill a stocking or sock with a collection of ‘mystery items’, then pass the stocking around the circle, letting everyone guess what is inside. They may shake the stocking, smell it, or simply feel the shape of what is inside.
Pin the red nose on Rudolph:
The Christmas version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey - you could also do Pin the Carrot on the Snowman, Pin the Star on the Tree, you are only limited by your imagination!
Gift hot potato:
Pass around one wrapped gift at a time. When the music stops, whoever is holding it is out of the game and they keep the gift they are holding. Start with smaller gifts and progress the higher-value gifts for those who make it through the first few rounds.
A round of Santa-plause please!
