Maison Lanson is renowned for the unique style of its wines and prides itself on working closely with creative Chefs who share their vision of the connection between Champagne and gastronomy. Each collaboration gives rise to exclusive food and wine pairings that reveal the characteristic freshness of Lanson Champagnes and the collaboration with Luke is no different.

"We’re thrilled to be working with Luke, whose culinary profile in Vietnamese cuisine is a great pairing with our recently launched Le Black Création, which just landed in Australia,” says Laurent Valy, Maison Lanson Business Development Manager Australia.

With French Vietnamese fusion being a common and delicious combination, the partnership is one that resonates on multiple levels. Luke’s passion for gastronomy is rooted in his family’s past, just as Maison Lanson draws on its own family heritage and Luke has also hosted aligned TV shows, ‘Luke Nguyen’s Vietnam’ and ‘Luke Nguyen's France’.

Luke says: "There are a lot of ties with France in Vietnamese cooking and food and many of our dishes are inspired by French cuisine. This connection is one of the many reasons why I’m proud to be collaborating with Maison Lanson and its high-quality Champagnes.”

A passionate restauranteur, Luke opened his first restaurant – Red Lantern - at the age of 23, which went on to be recognised as the best Asian and Vietnamese restaurant in the country, also receiving the prestigious ‘Best Ethnic Restaurant and Catering Business Award’ while Luke himself has been named ‘Australia’s Most Successful Young Vietnamese Entrepreneur’.

He currently has eight restaurants around the world and is planning on opening a new Southeast Asian restaurant at the new Sydney Fish Market in 2025 in partnership with the Doltone Hospitality Group.

Pair a glass of Le Black Création 257 with Luke’s recipe for Vietnamese spanner crab and green mango salad. The vibrant citrus and green apple notes of the wine add a zesty brightness to the sweet crab meat and tangy green mango. Its minerality and crisp finish balance the nuoc cham dressing, making each bite feel fresh and light.

The Le Black Création 257 is now available at selected Dan Murphy’s and BWS stores RRP: $71.99.
