Royal Caribbean is thrilled to announce two special immersion sailings aboard Ovation of the Seas for the 2024-25 season to celebrate the second year of its exclusive partnership with Ponting Wines, co-founded by Australian cricket legend Ricky Ponting.
The two 7-night sailings to Tasmania and Adelaide boast uniquely crafted itineraries for wine lovers and foodies, set against the stunning backdrops of these much-loved destinations. Travellers can step inside the fascinating world of winemaking while enjoying all the adventure and relaxation Ovation of the Seas has to offer. Wine not?
Highlights of the Ponting Wines immersion sailings:
Exclusive Wine Tastings and Immersion Sessions
Guests have the opportunity to add exclusive wine tastings onto their itinerary and dive into winemaking with Ponting Wines' award-winning winemaker, Ben Riggs. With more than 35 years of experience, Ben brings a passion for sustainable practices.
These tastings hosted at Vintages wine bar will feature a range of Ponting Wines, including the First Session Sauvignon Blanc and The Pinnacle Shiraz, and can be booked through the Cruise Planner or Royal Caribbean app. Guests will also enjoy a complimentary immersion and Q&A session with Ben to learn more about the mastery of winemaking.
Gastronomical Itinerary
For the ultimate food and beverage experience, guests can visit boutique cafes and restaurants in Adelaide’s city centre or book a shore excursion to sample fresh oysters in Hobart, all while indulging in the delicious food and beverage offerings onboard Ovation of the Seas.
Explore new cities
Stopping in Hobart, Tasmania for one day, guests will have the opportunity to discover the rich history of the city in Battery Point, a charming district filled with 19th Century cottages before exploring Salamanca Place, a vibrant waterfront area with shops, cafes and Georgian sandstone warehouses.
