About Alpine Way
The Alpine Way starts near Jindabyne on the eastern side of the Snowy Mountains. It runs south-west past Thredbo and crosses the crest of the Great Dividing Range at Dead Horse Gap. It then winds around the western side of the range along the upper reaches of the Murray River, past the Geehi River to Khancoban, connecting with the Murray Valley Hwy. This great drive is a total of 108 km of mountain road that winds through some spectacular vistas and is a popular route for visitors to the area.
