About Bundaberg Rum Distillery
In 1888 a group of sugar millers started to produce rum using the molasses that was a by-product of sugar refining and this is the beginnings of the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. From the Boer War up to today they supply Australian soldiers with Bundaberg Rum rations. Proudly setting the trend for spirits through out Australia, they were the first to produce a spirit on tap, with Bundaberg Rum and Cola draught, and they were the first to take a major sponsorship of a sporting team, The Wallabies. Bundaberg Rum is named Australia's No. 1 spirit trademark in Australia. Hourly tours daily are run so you can view the manufacturing process, rum tasting is included.
