About Pioneers' Pathway
Starting in Northam or Toodyay, the Pioneers' Pathway is a self drive route to Merridin, providing a classic experience of Western Australia's Wheatbelt heartland. From the remarkable wildflowers to the numerous nature walks, the Pioneers' Pathway offers an outback alternative to the Great Eastern Highway, its many stops along the way rich in history and regional significance. Along the way, be sure to stop at Goomalling and visit the unique historic well, Slater Homestead and museum before passing through Trayning to see the twin monoliths of Yarragin Rock.
