Recherche Archipelago

Otherwise known as the Bay of Isles, the Recherche Archipelago is made up of over 100 islands and 1500 islets set in the clear, unpolluted waters of Esperance Bay. Boasting an impressive array of natural wonders, the larger islands of the Recherche Archipelago are vegetated and home to a collection of animals and birdlife, the lush greenery of the island complimented with fringed white beaches and aqua waters. Woody Island is the only island open to the public, offering a range of water activities, bushwalking, flights and scenic flights over the archipelago. Boat cruises are also offered from Esperance.
