Surfing on Kangaroo Island

Encompassing five main surf bays, the waters of Kangaroo Island are largely a well kept secret. With reef and beach breaks making their way from Antarctica, the experienced surfer will find the swells a challenge, with a selection of beaches and bays to suit beginners. All abilities are catered for at Vivonne Bay, the island's main surf destination. For the more advanced surfers, take to the waters of Handon Bay and, if feeling up to it, try tackling the waters of D'Estress Bay.
