My family and I went to Akiya over the holiday period. Akiya was very busy and we want to try some of their hot dishes and sushi. We ordered assorted sushi and tried their obento special. I felt that Akiya is a family run business, the people are friendly, helpful and servings were generous. Their starter included marinated beanshoots and we ordered king prawns, which were very fresh and lightly battered. The sushi and sashimi was elegantly presented in a sushi boat and there was plenty of condiment to go with it, that is soy and wasabi. The special obento was a sample range of rice, side dishes and miso soup. What I liked the most was the green tea icecream to top it off.
We will certainly be back for more.
