About Antica Australis Carcoar

Bringing the soul of rural Italy to the heart of regional Australia, Antica Australis on Belubula Street delivers the authentic taste of a cultural dining experience to Carcoar. Imagine yourself in a remote Italian village, dining locanda-style at the local inn, listening to stories and feeling right at home in rustic surrounds of exposed brick and reclaimed timber. Antica’s four-course set menu changes monthly taking inspiration from Chef Paolo’s home region of Ciociaria in the wild heart of central Italy and may feature starters like locally-sourced goats’ cheese and truffle salami. For the main, be enticed by dishes like poached chicken breast, cherries smoked in brandy, with a salad of green leaves; finish indulgently with mille foglie, crema pasticcera, dark chocolate and berries.

absoluytely fabulous food!
two best tables for couples are either side of the entrance. BYO only so there is a good hotel, The Royal, next door that sells bottled wine. Well worth the trip to Carcoar.
