Find hidden gem waterfront café Baaia on Flinders Parade in Sandgate and take in spectacular views across Moreton Bay. This cute and cosy café nestles across from the foreshore, with a covered verandah ideal for sipping a brew of choice while watching the tide come in and the sun shine overhead. Indoors echoes a coastal vibe with wooden floors, blue banquette seating, scattered with cheery cushions and blue and white wall art; settle in and peruse a menu presenting all-day brunch and lunch dining with choices like huevos rancheros, served with fried egg, crispy tortilla chips and salsa. Pair a glass of Sauvignon Blanc with tempura battered prawns, honey, sesame seeds, fresh Asian salad and crispy noodles; or black sesame calamari, salad, lemongrass, ginger, chilli and caramel dressing.

Soulful and simply delicious food
My group of four went along to Baaia today and it was charmingly warm, with lovely front of house staff, a fascinating and interesting menu with lots of delicious food. We ordered the Shakauka, Green Eggs and Ham Crossaints and Harissa Sweet Potato with Labna. The coffees were delicious and the atmosphere and view is stunning. I intend to go back as soon as I can and to attend one or the monthly long lunches or dinners in the future!!

INNOVATION & FLAVOUR
The basics like pulled pork burgers and scrambled eggs are absolutely fantastic but when you get down to the parts of the menu that innovate on the classics using modern techniques, this place truly shines. Smoked Salmon and blueberries? A weird combination I've never heard for before but down to the presentation and flavour it blew me away with its taste. Crunchy, succulent, blueberry pearls bursting with flavour. What more could you ask for?
