Don't waste your time. Used to be a favorite in Pt Elliot but not any more. They also charge a surcharge if you pay with visa or Mastercard! And what is on the menu is not what you get. When I questioned why there wasn't any fish as per menu on my pasta dish the excuse was it was 'a misprint' We used to love eating here but never again! Used to be great with previous owners but not now.
Busy country hotel that looks like it has been recently renovated- offering family friendly service. Lots of staff working providing good customer service. Yummy food, kitchen offering meals all day. Good experience, didn't wait long for our meals, will definitely recommend to everyone and bring our family back when we visit again!
Although this looks and sounds like a small town country Pub, this in not the usual Pub Grub, It is anything but. The menu is sophisticated and diverse and the options for dining varied. There are four different sections for dining, first the bar area, then two dining rooms, one at the front, another at the rear, with a large alfresco extension. All very comfortable and well appointed. For an entree we chose, seared prosciutto scallops, s&p squid tangle (gf) Served on cream leak, lemon infused oil. Delicious. Oysters natural, they were large, fresh and totally satisfying. Mains, Crispy skinned duck leg confit, served on star anise, cinnamon, ginger infused red cabbage, sticky pear and blood orange jus. Absolutely perfect. A roasted pork loin, with a berry, double smoked bacon & sage stuffing, served on selected glazed root vegetables, caramalized pear, ginger root chutney & finished with a beef red wine jus, with crisp crackling. Beautifully presented and very succulent. Desserts, Baileys Embrace, a milk chocolate mousse, laced with Irish cream, on top of a rich chocolate fudge base, coated with dark chocolate ganache & rolled in white chocolate. Rocky Road, chocolate sponge filled with rich chocolate mousse, covered in dark chocolate ganache surrounded in chocolate shards and finished with a toffee tower. Both desserts, a fitting finale to a fabulous feast. Making this well worth the trip for out of town diners, plus a very picturesque drive. There are daily specials and theme nights, Mon - Thurs with exceptionally good prices, A great ambience, fabulous dining, professional service, a full house, reservations recommended. Go there.
