I've shopped around and I have always came to a conclusion, most of the shops out there can't cook- my home made food is better than most except for one food store in the north side. But hey, Grumpy Duck is now my number 1 favourite. I only ate here twice but wow it keeps getting better. The first time, I ordered Duck BBQ Rice and Coconut Prawns, it was awesome. Then I came back the following day, ordered Roasted Duck and Coconut rice, hey THAT'S THE BEST HAVE HEARD IN ANY RESTAURANTS IN BRISBANE! HANDS DOWN! The roasted duck is awesome and with the coconut rice on the side, that balanced the menu. For a little shop without all'em fancy stuff to attract you, hey here is where the big thing is! HATS OFF! My mate must surely hear about this store!
To me, a good find is where the quality of the food is better than what you pay for. The Grumpy Duck is exactly that. The food and service is fantastic, and I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill. This is now my favorite Thai restaurant in Brisbane and definitely worth the drive from the north side. Reid.
