About Hamo's
For café fare by day and Malaysian inspired dishes at night, Islington locals are drawn to Hamo’s on Beaumont Street. This bright and cheery café welcomes guests with a vibrant wall mural of glowing mushrooms, while the dining area is dominated by a recycled wood counter and tiled floors, overlooking a street side alfresco area through floor to ceiling glass frontage. Early risers may be enticed by sweetcorn fritters with rocket, avocado salsa, blistered cherry tomatoes and pesto, while those dropping by later in the day can delve into the likes of a crispy Moroccan spiced tofu bowl with mint yoghurt. At night the menu switches flavours to a taste of Asia as guests dine on barbeque duck pancakes, chilli soft shell crab with cucumber, tomatoes and lemon, teamed with steamed jasmine rice.
