About Holy Jala
Beach tapas meets tacos, tequila and tasty vibes at Holy Jala on Griffith Street in Coolangatta. This new taqueria and bar on the GC block brings fresh Mexican-Mediterranean fusion fare to your doorstep, in carefully crafted surrounds of vibrant colours, wall murals, slogans and trailing greenery. Say hola to a Margarita alfresco as balmy sea breezes waft up from the golden sands of the beach and share a charcuterie meat and cheese board; or delve into tapas plates of Holy jalapeno poppers, filled with cream cheese, guacamole and mozzarella, served with a dash of agave syrup. Tacos like marinated beef, lettuce, pico de gallo and Mexican salsa are sure to tempt, along with grilled fish, slaw, mayo and jalapeno salsa; before a decadent dessert of Mars Bar chimichanga and vanilla ice cream.

What a beautiful place with such a chill and happy vibe! Perfect place for some tapas and Margheritas if you know what I mean! Even if you aren’t a drinker, the mock tails are to die for and trust me you’re not missing out of anything! Great prices, taco Tuesday $5 tacos are on point! Definitely worth to check out and dine in! 100% recommend and can’t wait to go there again, until nextime! The service is beautiful, warm and welcoming :)
