After a day trekking the 1000 Steps or riding the Puffing Billy with the kids, why not indulge in hearty Southern Indian fare at Indian Rogan Josh? With its warm-coloured walls decked in framed pictures and ornate mirrors, the Ferntree Gully eatery offers a welcoming setting to enjoy dishes such as the beef cooked with ginger, garlic, tomato spring onion and red chilli or the classic butter chicken. Guests are also encouraged to try the chef's special, the lamb rogan josh. For dessert, try the gulab jamun (deep fried cottage cheese balls soaked in sugar syrup) or the kulfi (Indian ice cream) with either mango or saffron and green cardamom-flavoured pistachio. A function room that caters up to 40 people is also available.

The food is so full of flavours that keep mixing brilliantly that your pallet will go into overload. Tucked away in Upper ferntree Gully, it is the undiscovered gem of indian restaurants - and thereby lies a problem, A review is provided to thank the family for this amazing food delight, but then it advertises it to the world, and we locals run the risk of losing our secret piece of indian heaven! Mouthwatering dishes, burst of spices and beautiful desserts. Must visit if you want to experience real Indian food. Highly recommended!!!!!:D Cheers !!!!!
This has been our favorite restaurant for the last year or so. Every meal is superb. Totally recommended.
Mouth watering Indian dining Went there with family and friends a couple of weeks ago. Ordered Tandoori Platter, Onion bhaji for starters and Chicken Biryani, Naans, Dal Makhani, Lamb rogan josh , chicken curry, navratna korma for the mains. Trust me it was one of the best dining experience. The curries had the perfect consistencies, spices were well blended and the customer service was amazing. Would love to go there again.
Amazing The most amazing Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The food that this restaurant serves is always of high quality and the service is fantastic. The garlic naan and the butter chicken is out of this world amazing and I highly recommended it. :)
Simply Sensational Indian food Sensational food! Fantastic attentive, friendly staff, but the food is what you are there for - and it is amazing! Been many times, tried many dishes and they are all balanced (never too sweet, or overly creamy), all taste different and have a unique character, and all are full of flavour. ...mild, medium or hot - its going to be special. I love Indian, and this is simply the best Indian I've ever been to.
Great quality food, the spicey yellow potatoes are a must have. Great variety and quality of curries! Service is excellent too, the management are lovely people! I highly recommend this place :)

I love this restaurant. The owners take great care with service and the food is fantastic. Must try meals include the fabulous Chicken Tikka (with lots of sizzling veggies) and for Mains I recommend the Lamb rogan and Chicken Korma. Beef Curry is also fantastic. The owners are great with kids and its BYO. Decor is not that special but prices are great
The food is great and the service is fantastic. We eat in regularly and will keep coming back. Sandee and the girls treat us like royalty everytime. I highly recommend you pay them a visit, you will not be disappointed

Tell us about your experience...the food is so fresh and much lighter sauces than most Indian restaurants, great service and very friendly staff. My sons partner is Indian and she and her parents love it too. Awesome vegetarian menu too.
