No visit to Balaclava is complete without a stop at this seventh-generation bakery on the corner of Old Hume Highway and Crimea Street, nestled in a quaint cottage with a bicycle hanging from the ceiling and named after the family Labrador. Expect to find more than 48 varieties of pies from yabby to curried scallop and everything in between; along with Australia’s best Cornish pasty 2021 as voted by the Baking Association of Australia.
