My wife and I used to go to this hotel often for the great beers, delicious pizzas, friendly prompt service and good overall value.
A couple of days ago I left feeling a liitle ripped off. The seafood pizza was great and decent value (around $25), the beer good, but the bottle of chardonnay my wife bought was awful and I could not believe the bill when I saw they charged $39 a bottle for such poor quality wine.
The service at the counter was O.K. but after sitting for about 20 mins I had to ask to get the table cleared so we could eat our meal (and there were 3 staff just chatting). But then the glassy was over-zealous. On two occasions we had to go to the bar and ask for a replacement glass as they kept being taken when the level was low (not empty) and we still had wine in the bottle to pour another drink.
Summary: enjoy a beer and pizza, stay away from the wine and keep a hold of your glass until you are satisfied it is empty!

The Pizza's are the best I have ever eaten! They even have Crocodile, Emu and Kangaroo to try. A huge and very good selection of all Aussie beers. The pub is still the way it used to be with all the original features. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Had a fantastic time there. Highly recommend it
