Can You Pasta Sauce Please? Feel Saucy as We Celebrate Pasta Week.

From the Editor, Leigh O’Connor.

How many pasta varieties can you name?

While spaghetti, macaroni and penne are the most popular types of pasta there are actually more than 600 shapes and more than double that number of different pasta names.

Is gnocchi pasta? Join the great debate this week as we serve up three recipes for gnocchi and mafalde that are sure to entice, while non-stubborn Italian Head Chef Fabrizio Faitella brings the art of making perfect pasta to Gold Coast hatted restaurant Orzo in Broadbeach and shares his dish of cavatelli with roasted nduja sauce and cime di rapa.
