Mixologist Simon Robinson says the introduction of the Golden Cadillac has brought an element of luxury to the Margarita cocktail, blending premium ingredients with a touch of opulence to elevate the drinking experience and the amazing design of the venue.
"We use a real 24-carat edible gold leaf on a custom-branded ice cube and artisanal housemade citrus salt containing edible gold flecks,” he explains. "Much like many cocktails from the 1970s and 1980s in the USA, the true origin of this drink is shrouded in debate.
"Some believe it was compared to choosing the best car of the time – a Cadillac – and using the finest liquor ingredients to craft the ultimate Margarita. We added the use of a real gold leaf to elevate the drink further.”
