While the kids are having chocolate for breaky on Easter Sunday morning, you’ll be sipping on this Peep Show cocktail from Wakefield’s Bar and Wine.
First, it’s sweet, then it’s smooth, then it’s spicy - think honey, vanilla, orange, almonds, and cinnamon, all encased in a creamy velvet vessel.
Choc-tails are so last year…literally. The Peep Show is Wakefield’s way of getting a little spicier – it’s a way to explore some more interesting components in an approachable way while still evoking classic Easter flavours.
Inspired by the tradition of ‘Pancake Tuesday’, this cocktail was created by venturing into the back of the cupboard and using what would have otherwise been wasted – from this, a silk, sweet and spicy cocktail has risen.
Wakefield’s loves to pay homage to its history as a brothel, showcasing Burlesque Fridays, appreciative wallpapers and scanty artwork.
Align that with Easter themes and the marshmallowish contents and that’s how the cocktail got its name. It’s also mildly hilarious to have people ask for a ‘Peep Show’!
