Australia has a trailblazing line-up of incredible women in wine and hospitality and this International Women’s Day will showcase some of those leaders and creators, from right inside the Sydney Opera House.
Chef and Culinary Director of the Opera House, Danielle Alvarez alongside Trippas White Group’s Sommelier Louella Mathews, will be headlining a very special event inside the Yallamundi Rooms on March 8 with proceeds of the event, ‘Danielle, Louella and the Revolution’, donated to not-for-profit charity Women and Revolution, which exists to overcome the barriers of gender equality in the wine world and connects women across the industry through its coaching and education platforms.
If you are lucky enough to secure tickets to the event, you will be taken on a journey sampling wines from 16 female winemakers from around Australia, while indulging in grazing boards curated by Danielle with Australian dairy products from Burraduc Buffalo Dairy. Each guest will receive a Plumm wine glass and tasting card, enabling them to sample up to 10 different producers.
Guests will also be able to hear from the many female winemakers in the room sharing and conversing on ideas and themes important to women.
