A big congratulations to Verve Restaurant Café and Bar, Broadbeach, Gold Coast, who are the proud recipient of the “Best Informal Dining Award 2009”, from the recent Queensland Restaurant and Caterers Association Awards celebration. Over 350 hospitality professional came together on the 14th of July, 2009, at the Holiday Inn Surfers Paradise to celebrate the Gold Coast region’s fine establishments and talent and to highlight some of the top performing newcomers to the industry. For such a young restaurant, Verve has done exceptionally well!
The award was received by owner Shelly Greaves and Head Chef Jay Jorgensen on behalf of their dedicated team. Shelly says “it is a testament to the great work that Chef Jay Jorgensen, with assistance from Sous Chef Jasper Kan, are doing in that oh so small kitchen. I also want to publicly thank my front of house team I have been fortunate to have had some great people to work with in the last 8 to 10 months and it has made my job so much more enjoyable. Verve was three years young as of yesterday - my time flies when you are having fun - thank you all for your support and hope to see you in the near future - Chef has started to look at some new menu items so will keep you posted and there are whispers about a couple of more wine dinners!!!"
