Treasures are found in the slow moments…escape to a place of simple pleasure at Carrajung Estate Restaurant on Lays Road in Willung South. Leave hustle and bustle behind to take a scenic nature walk before heading to cosy outdoor seating areas perfect for a wine under the stars at this dining destination.
Why should you drop in for a meal at Carrajung Estate Restaurant? Here are three good reasons:
What’s your most popular dish:
Carrajung Estate's menu sees new items introduced weekly, so this question is very difficult!
Customers love the Gippsland wild venison on the current menu, served with black garlic mash and mushrooms, topped with jus. This is hyper-seasonal and very much dependent on weekly availability.
We also have to mention the fan favourite! It's been on the menu since the beginning - the braised herb-crusted beef short rib served with a celeriac croquette and heirloom carrots - slow-cooked, falls off the bone and oh, so tender.
What's your point of difference:
Not only do we source our ingredients locally, but our menu is also constantly changing to reflect the seasons and what our producers have in stock.
Head Chef Patrick Haney is always experimenting with new ingredients and techniques to create unique dishes that celebrate the region's flavours.
What is a fun fact that not many people know about your business?
Owners, Rebeka and Ivy, originally met through a shared love of renovations. Rebeka is the founder of BuildHer Collective, which runs courses helping women with their renovations and developments; while Ivy, founder of Homes by Ivy, is passionate about period homes and sustainability.
Together they are leveraging their skills and love for design to fully refurbished the five cottages at Carrajung Estate with sustainability upgrades to help minimises their footprint.
