AUSTRALIAN GOOD FOOD GUIDE - Home of the Chef Hat Awards

Look What’s New Near You!

Are you always on the lookout for a new café, bar or restaurant to indulge yourself, family and friends?

No sweat…we have you covered! Every week AGFG will aim to let you know what new venues have opened in your area and why you should give them a try.

You can help too – just click here to email our PR team and let us know of a new eatery in your suburb so we can inform everyone and help these establishments thrive and survive during pandemic times.

Nestled within Napoleone Family Orchards on St Huberts Road in Coldstream, Napoleone Orchard Bar is the newest addition to a wide range of artisanal venues in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. Located in the Pink Lady orchard, this stylish and sustainable shipping container bar has been crafted by a local maker to provide the ideal spot to taste housemade apple and pear ciders, imports from France and a selection of Australian guest ciders.

Why should you drop in for a drink at Napoleone Orchard Bar? Here are three good reasons:

What’s your most popular drink:

We are currently serving an Orchard Bar exclusive - Pomme Rouge, a limited-run apple cider - steeped on Shiraz skins and singing with gin botanicals - an aperitivo-style made for warm Autumn days.

What's your point of difference:

Nestled within the Napoleone Family Pink Lady Orchards, the Napoleone Orchard Bar is a recent addition to the wide range of artisanal venues in Victoria's Yarra Valley.

Combining style and sustainability the shipping container bar has been crafted by local maker and designer, Simon Wightwick.

The menu pays homage to the humble apple - housemade apple and pear ciders, imports from France and a selection of Australian guest ciders. Calvados and Applejacks feature as well as cocktails designed by Rob Hall, who will lead the bar through its opening season and beyond, both as creative head and manager of hospitality.

Hall's resume includes The Botanist, Sloane Square (London) and The Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford upon Avon. He is excited for the opportunity to work with hyper-local, field-to-shaker produce and has designed the menu to highlight the integrity of the raw materials.

What is a fun fact that not many people know about the restaurant?

Our new baby - Louis Hard Cider - was named after a worker who poked his eye out in the orchard, not far from the where we built the bar.
